What is my work about?
I do not think there is a good way to transmit it outside the language of my work itself, but here is a try. Face to Face with the canvas, the first things that come to mind are: confusion and insecurity. Jump the vacuum of a different space. But wait a minute, there something else as the first brushstrokes comes to life. The containment of a familiar place is the dominant thrill. This, is my destiny. The starting point. Home. A moment when I am convinced that these journeys into my canvases will lead me to undiscovered and indescribable places, at least with words. But fortunately… I have the paintbrush. So once I find that passage into my painting, that atmosphere begins to take real shape to me. There I lay hidden in a sessile stage feeling myself out of the time. Like a chrysalis, each of my painting is a cocoon envisioning the next metamorphosis. Thoughts become real, the physical world an illusion; this is how an organic and sensual inspiration with its own profile, comes alive. After years of what I like to call "self-diving" I begin to understand where I'm going to and what powerful forces drags and sink me. Which lights guide me or dazzle me. My works are my place in the world, a state of intimacy I built for me… in public…
