Shapes of figures, movements and interactions fascinate me. Figures show up, pose and demand my full attention - and I welcome them into the action on the canvas. Some of the figures become vital characters in a story and one or two move on into leading positions in the painting. I enjoy their every movement before we say goodbye and they turn into frozen subjects.
