This portfolio deals with the 40th anniversary
of the celebration of speed skiing is the sport of skiing downhill
in a straight line at as high a speed as possible, as timed over a
fixed stretch of ski slope. There are two types of contest: breaking
an existing speed record or having the fastest run at a given
competition. Speed skiers regularly exceed 200 kilometers per hour.
The photos describe the champions on the Breuil Cervinia track
remembering old and new skiers with price, honors music and a lot of
happiness. Celebrations have been taken in Valtournenche (Centro
Congressi) last Saturday July 14th. |

Artist & Painter
Stefania Grasso was born in Vercelli Italy in 1977. She is an
Italian biologist specialized in Microbiology. She started to
photograph in 1990. In 2006 among 1172 photographers she won the 4th
price in a nature com-petition in Valle d’Aosta. Her favorite themes
are travel photography, nature, landscapes and arts with photos of
churches and monuments. She has gained some prices in contests
related to nature and arts and several covers for reviews, Markos
but also fotografare.com, N-photography, Photography Masterclass,
Landscape Photography magazine. Some of her portfolios have been
selected by CNN and National Geographic Italy. In July a book
Himmelblau published in Germany and Scotland will contain other her
pictures of Cervino with clouds. She is available for travel
reportage, events and portraitures. |
