My recent research on the Greek myth of Poseidon inspired a new series
of paintings based on the concept of the creation of individual
characters and personalities among 80 names of the nymphs – “Las
Nercidas”. I evoke their presence at our coasts, beaches, reefs of
corals and all life forms at the Caribbean Sea- a with there virtual
and strengths. The painting also are a metamorphosis of our seashore
environments and reflects among ourselves in confrontation to our
daily struggle of self- identity as a nation.
