Lives and Works in Canada

Born and educated in Glasgow, Scotland, Philip Winestone discovered his talent for photography in his undergraduate years as an Engineering student, and, after coming to Canada, evolved his already distinctive style studying under New York photographer Barry Ashley.  Winestone's photographs include intimate, dynamic studies of people - portraits, nudes, movement - as well as still life and landscapes. For over twenty-five years his photographic art has been his singularly most important creative outlet.  Over this time Winestone has manifested his talent in the form of a large and comprehensive body of photographic work.  His assignments have included magazine and advertising work as well as gallery exhibits and private portraiture commissions.
