The three pencil drawings are a part of my “Indigenous People of the World Series” and is my attempt to preserve through my drawings the different indigenous peoples of the world, this series was inspired by looking at several old photo albums that belonged to my Grandfather and my Mother. This is as I see them through my research on the Internet and from those old photos. My intent in doing these drawings is to capture the various textures and skin tones and costumes that make each culture and individual unique and different from every other individual and culture. The painting is that of an Eel and is one of the many paintings is my Inhabitants of the Reef series.
